Zach Lee Set To Make Dodgers Debut, Start Saturday

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — After waiting five years in the minor leagues, the Dodgers' highly-touted prospect will finally make his major league debut as he gets the start for the Dodgers on Saturday.

Lee was the team's No. 1 draft pick in the 2010 MLB Draft, and decided to sign with the Dodgers and forgo a football scholarship he had offered to him by LSU.

The right-hander is 7-3 this season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, with a 2.36 ERA and 1.08 WHIP.

The Dodgers sent down Ian Thomas, Friday's starter, to make room for Lee on the roster.

Lee will face the New York Mets and their own young star in pitcher Matt Harvey.

Harvey is 8-7 with a 3.19 ERA this season.

Adrian Gonzalez was a late-add to the lineup for Saturday's contest, as the veteran first basemen was battling with neck stiffness.

Zach Greinke rejoined the team in New York after the birth of his son on Thursday, and will  start tomorrow against the Mets in the final game of the four-game series.
