6 Disabled Adults, 2 Caretakers Hospitalized After 405 Freeway Rollover Crash

MISSION HILLS (CBSLA.com/AP) — Authorities say six disabled adults and two of their caretakers were taken to a hospital in good condition when a van they were riding in rolled on to its side on the southbound 405 Freeway.

The Los Angeles Fire Department says in a statement that no other vehicles were involved in the crash in Mission Hills.

The department says patients did not have to be extricated from the van, and no fire was involved.

The crash closed the carpool and two left main lanes of the southbound portion of the freeway, prompting a SigAlert, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It was not immediately clear what caused the crash and no further details were immediately available.
