LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A Target store was evacuated Thursday evening while police searched for two suspects believed to have fled into the store at the end of a high-speed pursuit.

The pursuit that began in Long Beach ended when the vehicle crashed along the Firestone Boulevard exit from the northbound 710 Freeway, Long Beach police said.

Employees were allowed back into the store shortly before 9 p.m. after police determined the pair suspected in the pursuit slipped out of the store undetected and fled.
