Knife-Wielding Man Wanted In Connection With Game Stop Robbery In Fontana
FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Wednesday to locate an armed man who is suspected of robbing a video game store at knife-point in Fontana.
Around 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a man entered a Game Stop store, located in the 15000 block of Summit Avenue, and brandished a knife in the direction of an employee.
Fearing for his safety, the employee opened the cash registers and complied with the suspect's demand for money.
Police said the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the registers before he fled through the shopping center.
Surveillance video captured the robbery within the store.
Detectives described the suspect as a Hispanic man who has a shaved head, is between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old, stands around 5-foot-7 tall and weighs 150 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a dark colored plaid long sleeve shirt with dark pants and white tennis shoes.
