Crews Knock Down Brush Fire In Chatsworth Sparked By Car Over Side Of The Road

CHATSWORTH (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Sunday quickly knocked down a brush fire in Chatsworth they say started when a car went over the side of the road.

Emergency personnel responded to 10800 North Santa Susana Pass Road, near Topanga Canyon Boulevard, around 2:30 p.m.

A crash in the area sparked a grass fire that grew to approximately a quarter-acre, according to LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart.

Knockdown was reported shortly before 3 p.m.

Fire officials say a man suffered minor injuries from the vehicle.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
