Florence Mattress Factory Fire Under Investigation
FLORENCE (CBSLA.com) — Investigators are trying to determine what sparked a large fire at a mattress factory in Florence Saturday.
Crews were dispatched to a commercial structure in the 1600 block of E. 76th Street, near Maie Avenue, around 10 p.m.
Flames tore through the factory and spread to nearby buildings.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire just before 2 a.m.
A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department said one firefighter was injured but is expected to be OK.
