WeHo Street Closures Announced For LA PRIDE Celebration

WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Organizers of this weekend's 45th annual LA Pride celebration have announced street closures for the event.

The City of West Hollywood and Christopher Street West will host the festival and parade, which draw  thousands of spectators and marchers to West Hollywood each year.

The festival will take place at West Hollywood Park from 12 p.m. Saturday to 12 a.m. Sunday, as well as 11 a.m. Sunday to 11 p.m. Sunday.

Performers include Ke$ha, Wilson Phillips and Fifth Harmony.

A parade will also kick off at 11 a.m. Sunday on Santa Monica Boulevard.

The following streets and facilities will be temporarily closed for LA Pride events:

— San Vicente Boulevard, between Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue, through 10 a.m. on Monday

— Santa Monica Boulevard, from Fairfax Avenue to Doheny Drive, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday

— Streets located one block north and south of Santa Monica Boulevard (Fairfax Avenue to La Peer Drive) from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday

— Crescent Heights Boulevard, from Romaine Street to Fountain Avenue, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday

— Norton Avenue, between Havenhurst Drive and Laurel Avenue, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday

West Hollywood city officials warn of heavy traffic throughout the weekend, as well as extremely limited parking.

Parking permits will not be enforced from 4 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Monday. All metered parking will be enforced on Friday and Saturday, but will be free on Sunday.

Pride Ride will follow a continuous loop along Santa Monica Boulevard, between Robertson Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, with 15 stops in each direction. Click here to download a PDF route map with detailed information about schedules and stops.

The following Metro bus lines will also provide direct service to the festival: 4, 10, 30/330, 105, 217, 218, 704 or 705. Several bus lines will also be rerouted due to street closures.

The following special event parking locations will be open to the public for a fee:

Friday and Saturday ($10 fee per day):

— Kings Road Parking Structure, 8383 Santa Monica Boulevard

— Hancock Parking Structure, 901 Hancock Avenue

Sunday ($20 fee):

— Kings Road Parking Structure, 8383 Santa Monica Boulevard

— Hancock Parking Structure, 901 Hancock Avenue

— La Jolla/Havenhurst Lot, 1043 La Jolla Avenue

— La Peer Lot, 623 La Peer Drive

— Orange Grove Lot, 1114 N. Orange Grove Avenue

— Spaulding Lot, 7718 Santa Monica Boulevard

— Pacific Design Center, Melrose Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard (enter off Melrose Avenue)

The following facilities will also be closed:

— West Hollywood Park until 6 p.m. on Wednesday

— West Hollywood Library until 11 a.m. on Monday

— West Hollywood Pool until 1:30 p.m. on June 21
