Armed Robbers Commandeer Azusa Pawn Shop And Steal Rifles, Guns, Jewelry

AZUSA (CBSLA.com)  —  Police in Azusa say armed robbers commandeered a pawn store and stole firearms.

Authorities said they received a 911 call about 2:45 p.m. Sunday about a robbery in the 1000 block of W. Gladstone Street.

Store employees told them three black males entered the location with handguns and ordered them to lie face down on the floor.

While ransacking the location, employees told police the men also ordered them to open a store safe.

During the store takeover, a suspect kicked an employee in the face breaking the employee's nose.

A father entered the location with his young son during the commission of the robbery, police said. The father and chile were also ordered to the ground. Officials said one of the suspect's made off with the child's iPod.

The suspects allegedly stole several handguns, rifles and a large amount of jewelry. Witnesses said they fled in a dark colored SUV, which might be a Saturn.

The suspects were described as about 25 years of age, each about 6 feet tall, with athletic builds. One of the suspects was wearing a red hoodie sweatshirt and gray sweatpants. Another suspect wore a black hoodie and gray sweatpants. The third suspect wore a gray sweatshirt with a maroon hood and blue sweatpants.
