Lockdown Lifted At Hebrew School In Sherman Oaks

SHERMAN OAKS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Thursday searched for a suspect near a Hebrew school in Sherman Oaks.

Officers were sent shortly after 9:30 a.m. to Emek Hebrew Academy, located in the 15300 block of Magnolia Boulevard, for report of a security guard chasing a suspect, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police were unable to locate the suspect during their search.

A lockdown was placed on the school, which was lifted shortly after 10:30 a.m., officials said.

It remains unclear what the suspect was wanted for.
