Man Wanted For Burglarizing 2 Homes In LA

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Detectives Thursday sought the public's help to find a man who is wanted for burglarizing at least two homes in Westchester.

Around 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday, officers were sent to check on an activated burglar alarm in a home located in the 8500 block of Flight Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A preliminary investigation revealed a suspect smashed a bathroom window, and stole handguns and ammunition before he fled from the scene.

Police said the man then broke into a second home by kicking in the back door. He stole property, and fled in an unknown direction.

The LAPD released surveillance video that captured the burglary suspect committing the crimes.

Detectives described the suspect as an African American man who is between the ages of 30 to 35-years-old. He stands about 5-foot-10 tall and weighs around 200 pounds.
