57-Year-Old Glendale Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Male Minor At Rose Bowl Aquatic Center

PASADENA (CBSLA.com)  —  A 57-year-old man was taken into custody and accused of sexually assaulting a boy inside the dressing area of the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center, authorities said.

Just after 7 p.m. Monday, a boy told his mother that he had been sexually assaulted while in the dressing room of the center at 360 N. Arroyo Blvd. in Pasadena.

The mother immediately notified staff, who notified police and lifeguards. Officials said lifeguards followed the suspect from the center through the park, where police took the suspect into custody.

Authorities identified the man as Leslie Dittert.  He was booked at the Pasadena Jail.

No charges have been filed against Dittert at this time. Officials said the investigation is continuing.

Dittert was released from custody Thursday afternoon pending the investigation.

Officials are asking any parents or minors who have had inappropriate contact with the suspect to contact detective Monica Cuellar at (626) 744-7128.
