Man Fatally Stabbed In Garden Grove; Suspect At Large

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday investigated the circumstances surrounding the stabbing death of a man in Garden Grove.

Around 10:57 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to the area of Avalon and Fairview avenues for reports of a stabbing that had just occurred.

Upon their arrival, police located a Hispanic man suffering from apparent stab wounds on the street.

Paramedics transported the victim to UCI Medical Center where he later died. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect is an Asian man in his 20s, who wore dark clothing during the incident, and fled on foot from the scene.

At this time, the suspect has not been located. The investigation is ongoing.
