Man Fatally Shot By Deputies In Rancho Santa Margarita
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA (CBSLA.com) — A man was shot dead Tuesday by deputies at a home in Rancho Santa Margarita.
It happened around 2:45 p.m. on Paseo Viento near Melinda, according to Orange County Sheriff's Department.
Deputies initially responded to a call about a suicide attempt.
It's unclear what prompted deputies to shoot the man.
He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
