Father Sought After Police Say 14-Month-Old Was Taken From Leimert Park

LEIMERT PARK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities have accused the biological father of a 14-month-old of abduction after they say the child was taken from Leimert Park.

The Los Angeles Police Department said Raniyah Green was taken from the 3300 block of Stocker Place allegedly by her father identified as Randy Green, 29.

Police said Green is traveling in a black, 2004 BMW X-5 with license plate number: 7GYU146.

The LAPD said the baby was taken about 4 p.m. from the grandmother, who was babysitting at the location.

Police indicated that Green is not allowed to go near that location nor near the baby or child's mother.

"There is a restraining order against Green to stay away from Raniyah and her mother, Ernestine Brass.

"The Los Angeles Police Department and the family have not been able to locate Brass to notify her of Raniyah's abduction," the LAPD said in a statement.

An Amber Alert has not been issued.

Anyone with information about this case was asked to call Southwest Division detectives at (213) 485-2582.
