High Surf, Dangerous Rip Currents Continue

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — High surf warnings continue Tuesday across the Southern California coast.

The warnings will remain in effect through 11 p.m. as large surf and powerful rip currents will produce extremely dangerous conditions.

Officials extended a protective berm in Seal Beach Monday to prevent water from reaching the boardwalk and nearby residences after minor flooding took place.

South-facing beaches will be affected the most.

Crews warn swimmers to be aware and to stay near lifeguards.
