Yucaipa Man Arrested In Fatal Stabbing Of Stepson

YUCAIPA (CBSLA.com) — A 44-year-old man was arrested Friday in the stabbing death of his stepson, authorities say.

Yucaipa police officers responded to a report of a stabbing around 9:52 p.m. in the 33800 block of Woody Lane.

Deputies were advised at the scene the suspect and victim were involved in an argument that accelerated into a physical altercation.

The victim, 23-year-old Kyle Yarnell, of Yucaipa, was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The suspect, identified as Yucaipa resident David Bryant, the stepfather of the victim, was taken into custody for murder.

Detectives from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department are conducting the investigation.
