Caught On Video: Burglar Breaks Into Westwood Home

WESTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police asked for the public's help Wednesday to identify a man suspected in a Westwood home burglary.

The burglary happened on April 21 at about 1 p.m. at a home in the 700 block of South Beverly Glen Boulevard in Westwood. Police say a man forced his way in through a rear bedroom door.

Surveillance video shows the man headed straight for the resident's dresser, rifling through the top drawer, before running back out the rear door he came in through.

He was seen on an outdoor surveillance video, leaving through the backyard.

The suspect was described as a medium height male with short dark hair, wearing a white, long-sleeved button-up shirt, blue jeans and a dark backpack with the "Air Jordan" logo.

Anyone with information about the break-in can call West Los Angeles Area Detective Guevara at (31) 444-1522 or (310) 444-1523.
