Clinton Coming To LA For Trio Of Fundraising Events

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will hold the first Southern California fundraisers for her campaign for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination on May 7.

Clinton, who also served as a New York senator and as former First Lady, launched her presidential campaign earlier this month and is considered by many to be the favorite for the Democratic Party's nominee.

Her first event will be a $2,700-per-person breakfast reception at the Westwood home of Catherine Unger, a member of the Women's Political Committee, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Clinton will then move to another $2,700-per-person event, a luncheon fundraiser at the Pacific Palisades home of television producer Steven Bochco and his wife Dayna. Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., is named as the special guest.

The fundraising swing will end with a $2,700-per-person early dinner at the Beverly Hills-area home of billionaire media giant Haim Saban.

The $2,700 figure for the events stems from the maximum individual contribution for a candidate seeking his or her party's nomination.
