Man Found Shot To Death On Downey Sidewalk
DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — A man was found shot to death on a sidewalk near Woodruff and Nance avenues in Downey early Sunday morning, police said.
Officers were sent to the area following a 911 call about a person being shot at 2:47 a.m. Sunday, according to Downey police Lt. Mark McDaniel. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
McDaniel told City News Service that the shooting did not appear to be a random event, and that "the victim was targeted."
No further information on the victim was immediately available. Downey police ask that anyone with information call detectives at 562-904-2368.
