Vigil Held For Missing Lucerne Valley Woman

LUCERNE VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A church community held a vigil Monday night for a missing San Bernardino County woman on the day she would have turned 30.

Krystie Stuart hasn't been seen in more than a month.

She was last seen March 3 leaving her Lucerne Valley home for a dentist's appointment, according to her mother, Ginger Stuart, who added: "She had had kind of a rough day, that day, at the dentist's."

She lives with her parents and her mother say it's unusual for her not to answer calls or texts. She says Stuart would never run away.

Ginger Stuart revealed her daughter has a history of depression and was weaned off her medication about three months ago. Since then, she had seen a decline in her daughter's mood.

Deputies on March 8 found Stuart's white pickup abandoned in Apple Valley, with her bra, shoes, cellphone and medication inside.

Ginger Stuart says cadaver dogs couldn't pick up her daughter's scent where the truck was found, "meaning somebody dropped her truck out there."

However, investigators don't suspect foul play in her disappearance.

Stuart is 5-foot-8, 107 pounds and has very long, light-brown hair.

Anyone with information about Stuart's whereabouts is urged to contact the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department at (760) 248-7328.
