Sandra Bullock's 911 Call Played During Alleged Stalker's Court Appearance

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The man accused of breaking into actress Sandra Bullock's Bel Air Estates home appeared in court Thursday.

Joshua James Corbett has been charged with burglary and stalking for the alleged June 2014 incident.

Police say Corbett jumped the fence surrounding Bullock's house and broke into the building through a locked sun-room door on the first floor.

The Oscar-winning actress locked herself in her bedroom and contacted police after she woke up to loud banging and saw a man in dark clothing walking through her house.

Corbett was reportedly unarmed but was carrying love letters and magazine cutouts of Bullock, officials said.

He told authorities he did not think she was home at the time of the incident but was heard yelling "Sandy, I'm sorry."

Corbett was also charged with possessing an arsenal of weapons after several firearms, rifles, handguns and ammunition were later located at his La Crescentia home.

Thursday's preliminary hearing was to determine whether there was enough evidence to go to trial.
