LAPD Confirms Officer-Involved Shooting In Boyle Heights

BOYLE HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — LAPD confirmed an officer-involved shooting in Boyle Heights on Wednesday night.

An officer called for back-up at 10:25 p.m. for a shooting suspect. The shooting occurred at 4th street and Soto. One person was reported down, with one in custody. It was not immediately clear if these were the same suspect.

There were two scenes in Boyle Heights about a block and a half a part on Wednesday night, but LAPD could not confirm whether or not they were related.

No officers were hurt in the shooting.

The investigation was ongoing.
