Police Seek Suspect In Lawndale Double Shooting

LAWNDALE (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives are searching for a suspect involved in a shooting in Lawndale that injured two people Monday.

Deputies responded to the scene in the 15100 block of Mansel Avenue around 4:30 p.m. after a call of a gunshot victim.

Two men were found shot at the scene.

According to a LASD spokesperson, the victims were shot while standing in the driveway of the location.

Both victims were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known.

According to the spokesperson, the suspect was last seen running southbound on Mansel Avenue. A second shooting occurred as the suspect reached 153rd Street, the spokesperson said.

It is unknown if anyone was hit during the second shooting.
