Police Seek Help To Identify Stabbing Victim In El Segundo

EL SEGUNDO (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Tuesday to identify a stabbing victim involved in an altercation with two men.

According to the El Segundo Police Department, officers responded around 10:42 p.m. Sunday to the 100 block of West Imperial Avenue for report of a stabbing victim.

Officers learned from witnesses at the scene that the victim fled the area with a friend prior to their arrival.

Police explained area hospitals were notified, and a medical alert was issued in an effort to locate the victim.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man was stabbed multiple times in his abdomen during a fight with two male suspects.

According to police, both suspects also fled in a vehicle prior to their arrival; however, witnesses were able to obtain a license plate number of the suspect vehicle.

On Monday, detectives contacted the suspects regarding the incident. One of the suspects confessed to the stabbing, which subsequently led to the arrest of both men.

At this time, the victim's condition remains unknown.
