Police Seek Suspect Accused Of Fatally Shooting Pomona Man

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Monday in locating the suspect accused of fatally shooting a 30-year-old man in Pomona.

Around 12:30 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting a male victim that was shot inside a home located in the 1200 block of West Third Street, according to the Pomona Police Department.

Officers said the caller went on to explain the victim, described as a Hispanic man of Pomona, walked into her home and collapsed on the floor. He was allegedly shot by an unknown suspect.

When police arrived on scene, they located the victim lying on the floor suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso.

Paramedics were called to assist at the scene, however, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

At this time, no suspect or vehicle description has been provided by authorities.

Authorities are treating this as a murder investigation, however, it remains unknown if the shooting was gang-related.
