Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (March 6)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The warm weather has kicked in and temperatures will pop up into the 80s Friday.

There's a ridge of high pressure aloft and that, combined with a surface off-shore flow will keep temperatures well above average and possibly close to breaking a few records Friday.

Saturday's records will be a little tougher to break; nevertheless, it's a little taste of summer in winter for Southern California.

There will be some gusty winds below the passes and canyons, which is why a wind advisory has been issued.

Expect to see some slight cooling starting Monday, and then a little more for the middle of the week.

Right now the forecast models do not agree on the long range forecast — some bring showers to the area while others are saying dry. With the very dry air mass in place right now, it looks like it will be a drier forecast, but we'll have to wait and see.

By the way, don't forget to spring forward this weekend, daylight saving time begins. That also means you should check your smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors and earthquake kits.
