Pedestrian Fatally Struck On 210 Fwy In Baldwin Park

BALDWIN PARK (CBSLA.com) — A pedestrian was fatally struck by several vehicles Saturday while running in the lanes of the 210 Freeway.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, multiple 911 calls came in around 11:53 p.m. Friday, reporting a pedestrian running in lanes on the westbound 210 Freeway, between Sunflower Avenue and Citrus Avenue.

While officers were responding, dispatch learned the pedestrian had been struck by several vehicles.

When Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics arrived on scene, they pronounced the male pedestrian dead.

Officers administered field sobriety tests to two drivers — a Sylmar man, 44, who drove a 2007 Chevrolet, and a Glendale man, 48, who drove a 2014 Kia — but neither were found to be under the influence.

The coroner was unable to locate or identify information about the victim. Their identity will be withheld pending family notification once identified.

No other injuries were reported.
