BALDWIN PARK (CBSLA.com) — Authorities identified a 31-year-old man Friday that died from a stab wound sustained during an argument with his ex-girlfriend.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, officers were sent around 5:26 p.m. Thursday to a residence, located in the 4700 block of Maine Avenue, for report of a person down.

When they arrived, officers located Juanita Solares, 18, sitting on a porch suffering from apparent stab wounds to her upper torso.

A preliminary investigation led police to the nearby home of Solares' ex-boyfriend, Kenneth Williams.

According to police, Williams, was found on the floor of his garage, suffering from an apparent stab wound to his upper torso. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Williams met Solares in the parking lot of Yum Yum Donuts, located in the 4300 block of Maine Avenue, and allegedly forced her into his black Toyota Prius, detectives explained.

He punched Solares in the face as he drove her to his home against her will.

After he parked inside the garage, officials said Williams continued to physically assault Solares, and struck her face a second time.

Further investigation revealed that Solares was stabbed multiple times in Williams' garage after she exited the vehicle.

Police explained she ran to a neighbor's house when she saw Williams' lying unresponsive next to his car.

He suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted stab wound to his chest, officials added.
