Country Crooner Bucky Covington Discusses Daughter's Rare Condition Friday On 'The Doctors'

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com)  —  Country music star Bucky Covington and family will appear Friday on "The Doctors" to discuss his daughter's rare condition and how they corrected it.

Covington, who first rose to fame on "American Idol," said he was sharing his family's story to raise awareness about the rare condition.

His infant daughter was diagnosed at 3 weeks old with infantile hemangiomas, a birthmark that requires treatment.

Covington will discuss the diagnosis with "The Doctors" as well as how he and fiance Katherine decided on a treatment after conferring with specialists.

The popular singer discussed their positive results and hopes they can spread awareness for this unusual condition and help others who might be dealing with a similar situation.

This is a daytime TV exclusive and the first time Covington has introduced his daughter to the public.

"The Doctors" airs on KCAL9 at 11 a.m.
