LAPD Pursues Suspect In U-Haul Truck On 118 Freeway

SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — The Foothill division of the LAPD was in pursuit of a U-Haul truck on the 118 freeway near Sylmar.

The suspect was wanted for being hostile with a firearm.

The driver may have thrown a gun out at Laurel Canyon and Mercer, but police were unable to confirm. It was also reported that an additional item was thrown out of the truck while driving south on the I-5 freeway near Chatsworth.

The suspect led police into a Sylmar neighborhood after exiting the freeway.

The suspect was taken into custody at 8:38 p.m.
