Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We got a good little soaker over the weekend and we are not done with the showers today.

Rainfall totals were impressive from Sunday as the low pressure system, which was supposed to track more inland, did get some over water trajectory.  That combined with a little mountain enhancement and our rainfall totals ranged .25" to .50" for most of the area.

Foothill communities saw higher totals closer to 1.00".

There were a few outliers in the San Gabriel Valley where we saw just over 1.00"

The low is still over the San Joaquin Valley, so it is possible that we could see some showers again this afternoon as it rotates south and off to the east.

Don't be fooled by a possible sunny start to your day. I would bring the umbrella along just in case this afternoon.

The rest of the week will generally be drier and warmer as high pressure nudges in.  However, next weekend it looks like it could be the same drill.  The track of a coming trough looks very similar to the one that is moving through now.

As far as the important Downtown total goes (as far as rainfall for the season) we picked up .70".  We are still nearly 4" below average, but this helped us out.
