Former Ontario Police Officer Suspected Of Sexual Relationship With Girl, 17

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — A former Ontario police officer face charges Friday of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old girl he met while on duty.

Tyler Stone, 30, of Rancho Cucamonga, turned himself in Wednesday after the San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office issued a warrant for his arrest on two counts of oral copulation of a minor, one count of unlawful sex with a minor and one count of annoying/molesting a child.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's officials say investigators from the Ontario Police Department were tipped off on Nov. 8 that one of their officers, Stone, had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl. Stone was placed immediately on administrative leave, officials said.

The department asked the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department Crimes Against Children detail to conduct the investigation into Stone's possible criminal acts. Investigators found Stone met the girl while he was on duty and later developed a sexual relationship with her, meeting her for sex acts in Ontario and at Stone's home in Rancho Cucamonga, officials said.

Stone resigned from the Ontario Police Department on Dec. 22 and he is currently free after posting $150,000 bail. An arraignment date for Stone has not yet been set.

Anyone with information about this investigation can contact Detective John Everman or Sgt. Dana Foster at (909) 3615.
