Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 11)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Happy Hump Day! It will be a windy and warm one.

The off-shore flow is being fed by a large upper level high pressure center in the Eastern Pacific as well as a Surface High to the north of Salt Lake City. Expect gusty and dangerous winds at times.

So far the winds are peaking in the ballpark of 40 to 45 miles an hour, but there could be gusts upwards of 60 mph Wednesday and Thursday. The winds even hang around on Friday.

That also means temperatures will be flirting with records. Some cities will reach the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Things cool off a little bit into the weekend.

The threat of rain has all but dried up completely. The latest extended forecast now reaches into the end of the month and right now it is looking bone dry. To give perspective — normally we see nearly 4 inches of rain in February, but we've had a trace this month.
