Clippers: Blake Griffin To Have Elbow Surgery For Staph Infection
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Clippers announced Sunday that 25-year-old Blake Griffin will undergo surgery for a staph infection in his elbow.
According to the NBA, the All-Star forward will have surgery on Monday to remove a staph infection in his right elbow.
The procedure will be performed in Los Angeles by Dr. Neal ElAttrache and the Clippers' team physician, Dr. Steven Shimoyama, officials explained.
The Clippers posted on their Twitter account that Griffin will be sidelined following surgery, but did not give a definitive time frame for his return.
Blake Griffin is out and will get surgery Monday to remove a staph infection in his right elbow. He'll be reevaluated after All-Star break.

Griffin was recently selected to play in his fifth NBA All-Star game.
