Public's Help Sought In Search For Man Suspected In Hollywood Burglary

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man suspected in a Hollywood break-in.

A LAPD spokesperson says a burglar entered a closed business in the 6400 block of West Sunset Boulevard on Dec. 7, taking "a large amount of currency from the property."

The suspect was captured on a close-up surveillance video.

He is described as a white male, 5-foot-11, about 190 pounds and about 50.

Anyone with information regarding the break-in is asked to call Hollywood detectives at (213) 972-2928.  During nonbusiness hours or on the weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (877-527-3247).

Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477). Tipsters may also contact Crime Stoppers by texting to phone number 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S on most keypads) with a cellphone. All text messages should begin with the letters "LAPD."
