OCFA Seeks Public's Help In Identifying Yorba Linda Arson Suspect Seen On Surveillance Video

YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — The Orange County Fire Authority Wednesday was seeking the public's help in identifying an arson suspect seen on surveillance video setting a house on fire last year.

The video shows the suspect approaching a home on Felicia Drive in Yorba Linda around 10:34 a.m. on Nov. 3, 2014, officials said.

According to OCFA investigators, the heavy set man was seen "hurling an object through a window, igniting a container of fuel, throwing it through the broken window, and then running away."

He fled the scene on a child's BMX-style bicycle toward Avenida Rio Del Oro and Yorba Linda Blvd.

The suspect was described as having a dark complexion, brown or black hair and wearing clear glasses. He may have suffered burns to his right hand, arm and face after being briefly enveloped in flames.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a red pull-over jacket, which also may have been burned by fire.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect or the incident was asked to contact the OCFA Investigations Services Station at (714)573-6720 or online.
