Man Killed By Fallen Tree In Mead Valley

MEAD VALLEY (CBSLA.com)  —  Riverside County Sheriff's say a man was killed Sunday evening by a fallen tree in Mead Valley.

The deadly accident was not wind-related, authorities said.

It is believed an adult male -- possibly the homeowner -- was pruning a free and he was trapped under heavy limbs.

The accident occurred just after 5:30 p.m. in the 21400 block of Dawes Street, according to Cal Fire.

The victim was declared dead at the scene.
