Hawthorne Police Asking Public's Help To Find Woman Last Seen On Christmas

HAWTHORNE (CBSLA.com) —  The Hawthorne Police Department seeks help in finding a 54-year-old woman last seen on Christmas Day.

Shelesia Flowers is known to stay with various friends or in motel rooms. She may be in the Orange County area, her family says.

The missing woman is black, about 5-foot-1 and 200 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.

Flowers' family reported her missing Jan. 12. They said they last saw Flowers around 4 p.m. on Christmas Day and at that time she was wearing a black top and black pants.

The woman uses a wheelchair. Her right leg was amputated below the knee.

Flowers was last known to be staying in a motel in the Culver City area with her boyfriend, Melvin Washington.

Anyone who has seen Flowers or might know of her whereabouts was asked to call Hawthorne police.
