LAPD Investigating Fatal Stabbing In Sylmar
SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday were investigating a fatal stabbing in the San Fernando Valley.
The Los Angeles Police Department received a call just before 9 a.m. regarding a person threatening another with a knife in the 14000 block of Astoria Street in Sylmar.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered blood on the walls of a unit and a man in his early 20s stabbed to death inside.
The unidentified victim lived at the residence with his family, officials said.
Police said a witness was inside the home at the time of the murder.
"A lot of our investigation right now is based on that information that person supplied. That's going to have to vetted out and the validity of it," said Capt. Todd Chamberlain.
No arrests have been made.
