United Airlines Plane Safely Makes Emergency Landing At LAX For Mechanical Problem

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A United Airlines plane made an emergency landing on Sunday at Los Angeles International Airport.

According to LAX officials, Airbus A319, traveling from Denver, Co., landed safely around 8:58 a.m., after reporting a possibly mechanical problem to air traffic controllers.

It was unclear if the flight was originally intended to travel to Los Angeles.

Flight 401 carried 120 passengers on board the plane.

All passengers and flight crew members were escorted to the gate from the runway, airport officials explained.

No injuries were reported.
