Police Seek 2 Suspects Accused Of Fatally Shooting Man In Downey

DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — Detectives continued their investigation Sunday into the circumstances surrounding a gang-related shooting that claimed the life of a man last night.

According to the Downey Police Department, officers were sent around 10:26 p.m. Saturday to the 13000 block of Earnshaw for reports of shots fired in the area.

Once on scene, officers located an adult man suffering from gunshot wounds in the driveway.

Authorities pronounced him dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

According to police, two male suspects were seen running northbound from the area.

A description of the suspects has not yet been provided.

A preliminary investigation revealed the incident was gang-related, detectives reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
