Power Restored In Malibu Following Weather-Related Outages

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — Power was restored Saturday to customers who were affected by outages caused by rain in the area.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, deputies were sent around 2:17 p.m. to the 27300 block of East Winding Way for report of wires down in the area.

Once on scene, officials notified the Los Angeles County Fire Department, as well as Southern California Edison (SCE), to assist with repairs at the scene.

Authorities explained the downed power lines have caused outages in the area of Paradise Cove and Heathercliff communities.

According to SCE, about 2,220 customers were affected by the outages.

Crews were able to restore all power to customers shortly before 3:00 p.m.
