Pets2Love: Duke

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — This week's Pets2Love is Duke!

Duke (ID# is A1513523) is a male Chow Chow mix. He weighs 40 pounds and is approximately 10 years old.

Duke is the perfect size - not too big and not too small.  Many senior dogs get overlooked for adoption, but adopting an older pup is very rewarding and much less work than raising a puppy.

Chow Chow's are great apartment dogs because they are not excessively active and it is in the breed's nature to be quiet and well-behaved. Chow's have strong loyal bonds with friends and family; however, they are also independent.

Duke is available for adoption immediately at the North Central Shelter, 3201 Lacy Street in Los Angeles.
