Man, 52, Reported Missing In Manhattan Beach Found Safe

MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A 52-year-old man reported missing in Manhattan Beach on Friday was safely located at a friend's home.

According to the Manhattan Beach Police Department, Stephen Preiss safely returned in good health to his friend's house in Hermosa Beach.

Preiss was reported missing by his family on Thursday, and was last in touch with his landlord Monday.

A preliminary investigation revealed Preiss left a note inside his residence with instructions on the care of his property.

Officers explained his bicycle was also reported missing from the property.
