Authorities Searching For 79-Year-Old Windsor Hills Man

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are looking for a 79-year-old man who suffers from Alzheimer's disease and other conditions, and has been missing since Friday afternoon.

Herbert Vaughn, who lives in the 5400 block of Valley Ridge Avenue, was last seen leaving home Friday at 2:30 p.m. in a silver Chrysler 300 four-door, according to a news release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Vaughn, who requires daily medication and is easily confused, is black, stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and a gray beard and wears glasses. When he left home Friday he was wearing a black sports coat, black-collared shirt and black slacks. His car has California license plate FYY104.

The Sheriff's Department asks anyone with information on Vaughn's whereabouts to contact the missing person's detail at (323) 890-5500.
