Police Seek Help Identifying Man Accused Of Robbing Irvine Bank

IRVINE (CBSLA.com) — Detectives sought the public's help Monday in identifying a male suspect who allegedly robbed a bank in Irvine.

According to the Irvine Police Department, officers responded around 11:38 a.m. to Union Bank located in the 5300 block of University Drive for reports of a robbery.

A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect handed a note to one of the tellers and robbed him. It was unclear how much money was stolen.

Surveillance video shows that no weapon was used during the robbery, and the suspect fled from the bank on foot.

No injuries were reported.

Detectives described the suspect as an adult male in his 30's that weighs 230 pounds and stands no taller than 5-foot-11. He was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap and a dark grey hoodie.
