Alhambra Man Arrested After Police Find Marijuana Grow Inside His Home

ALHAMBRA (CBSLA.com) — A 33-year-old San Gabriel Valley man was facing drug charges Tuesday after police discovered he was using his home as a marijuana growing operation.

Longsheng Ou was arrested Monday night after Pomona police were sent to his home on Tanglewood Drive in the Phillips Ranch neighborhood regarding a strong odor, authorities said.

Officers found that Ou was "utilizing the entire residence to cultivate marijuana," Sgt. Marcus Perez said.

Approximately 860 marijuana plants, totaling in excess of 280 pounds, was found inside the house.

Ou was being held on $50,000 bail at the Pomona Jail for marijuana cultivation. He will make his first court appearance Wednesday.
