Metal Debris Crashes Through Windshield Knocking Driver Unconscious On 605 Freeway
INDUSTRY (CBSLA.com) — A flying piece of metal plowed through a car windshield Sunday and knocked the driver unconscious, causing the vehicle to careen off the 605 Freeway and go down an embankment near Industry.
The 14-year-old riding backseat in the man's 2012 Honda Civic was also struck by the debris, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place around 8:30 a.m.
The 43-year-old driver suffered major injuries. The girl sustained a minor injury.
CHP only identified the two as residents of Baldwin Park.
