Police Fatally Shoot Armed Suspect At Hollywood And Highland
HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police have confirmed that the suspect wounded in a shooting involving an officer Friday night in Hollywood has died.
Officers responded around 6:30 p.m. to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon and were met by a man holding a knife.
The area is among the most trafficked by tourists in L.A. and one such visitor captured a photo of the suspect lying in the street after the shooting.
The suspect was initially listed as critically injured and Los Angeles City Fire transported him to a hospital. He was later pronounced dead, according to an LAPD spokesperson.
No officers were hurt.
