M3.0 Quake Jolts Yorba Linda; No Damages Reported

YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — A magnitude-3.0 earthquake rumbled through northern Orange County just before noon Friday.

The quake, which hit at 11:58 a.m., was centered four miles east-southeast of Yorba Linda and eight miles east of Placentia, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no reports of damage or injuries.

The temblor marked the third minor quake that has rattled Southern California over the last month, including a magnitude-3.6 earthquake that struck Thursday near Desert Hot Springs. There were no reports of damage in that quake.

A pair of quakes as big as magnitude-4.1 were recorded off the coast of Catalina on Nov. 10, but no damage was reported.
